I wanted a pickled oak table and and French provential ladderback chairs with rush seats, but I wanted a 42 inch round pedistal table. They were popular in years past, but now everyone wants larger tables to the ones that can be found in stores are 48 inch round or larger. I found an older oak table in a local antique shop for $225. and I found the chairs in a resale shop in Shawnee, Kansas. My neighbor Stephanie, a paint contractor, stained and painted them for me. The table looks like the ones selling locally for $1199. and I feel like I have found a treasure. The flowers are fresh and I think that I could do them myself the next time. They are one large hydrangea with small white roses and baby's breath in the center and a blue bow. The bottom picture on the wall are antique post cards of the Lord's Prayer that my aunt gave me which I had matted and framed. We don't like the wall paint, it is too dark for the room but we have not yet had the opportunity to change it. It will get done later this year.
