The Indian Giver daylily is a beautiful ruffled lavendar with a green throat that I got last year. It was still one of my favorites.
My name is Mary Burgett Hamilton. Burgett is one of the many derivatives of the DeBurge family, hense the Maree DeBurge. I wanted my landscape design name to look more artsy/designer like but still me.
I started with over an acre yard in central Illinois in the mid 1980's, and a husband that told me I could not purchase flowers for the yard without a plan. I landscaped both front and back yards and spent 9 months a year outside, up to my elbows in dirt or mud. I wanted to see color and texture in my yard.
Soon I found that others were enjoying my yard as well. I gave tours to anyone who asked to come through, and they always left with some plants for their own yards. Gardens beg to be given away. Either the flowers, fruits, vegetables or the plants themselves ask to be shared with others.
